This is a custom cabinet/vertical/horizontal/backlit/kitchen storage shelf I built in an old desk nook for Jenny’s parents Margaret & Joe.

We installed a light between the top & bottom shelf, and plexiglass in the back to allow light to pass up to the shelves above. Success.

The top shelf corner needed to not touch the wall so the horizontal tambour door could slide beside it, so I secured a black chain to the ceiling’s stud and the corner of the shelf so it could still hold weight.

I stained and installed this beautiful wood paneling onto Amber’s wall, and we put up the wallpaper! That wallpaper is rad.

The stained wall and wallpapered wall matched perfectly - Amber needs to design interiors. We added another coat of stain after all the planks were up.
